Like many others, I awakened to hear the news about the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse. I've traveled on it many times in my life and never gave it a second thought. I know some people who have a genuine fear of bridges. It's moments like this that reality sets in on just how fragile and fleeting life can be.

I pray for every family impacted by this horrible incident. May God comfort everyone. May God strengthen those who are working in the rescue and recovery efforts. May God help first responders, medical teams, and those called to figure out the who, what, why, and how of this day. May God yet get glory in the midst of this story. In Jesus' name, Amen!
